Travis selected one of rock music’s all-time anthems for his try-out: Aerosmith’s “Dream On.” It is not an easy task to belt out such a classic, because it requires vocal emotion, and confidence in every note. But Travis had stepped up to the challenge and turned in a synth freak out that showcased both his impressive technical prowess as well as his unique artistic style
Than just copying the original Travis put his own spin on the classic song. His deep voice, high notes and feeling for the words had the audience hooked from start to finish. Every sound he made showed years of work and practice as a pro singer.
Lots of people had heard Travis sing on TV before. Americas Got Talent let him show who he is as a solo artist, not just someone singing in the background.
