Bety, a 17-year-old singer, performed on stage during an early audition where she was understandably anxious about her show. But she soon became more confident as soon as she started singing, “If The World Was Ending” by JP Saxe.
Her vocal style was unique and Bety began to incorporate her native language into the song midway through, which impressed the judges because it was such a different approach to a well-known song.
After completion of her performance Bety was in tears and stated that she was “extremely overwhelmed by the performance and the uproar from the crowd.”
“You have one of those proper recording voices where if I heard you on the radio I would know you straight away,” Mel B said. “That shows that you have got star quality.”

According to Howie Mandel, Bety’s voice is comparable to Halsey and Adele. Sofia Vergara said that Bety is already a star, while Simon Cowell remarked that her performance was an “incredible demonstration of how to perform a song.”
“Cowell stated, “You were incredible and you didn’t mimic the artist at all; I loved how you created your own sound.” “You totally owned that Bety.”
The final result was that the judges (all four) voted with ‘yes’s’ for Bety to move on in the competition.

She has such a beautiful tone to her voice. And what I loved most about this, is you can tell she was genuinely nervous, but once she took off, she was in a league of her own. And the way she sang that song was just immaculate. If she can build her confidence as the show goes along, I think she can be one of the acts that could surprise us.
