Mike Tomlin has made a smooth transition to the sports media world after stepping down as head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers after 19 years.
On Wednesday, Tomlin made his debut with NBC Sports and made his feelings about a certain quarterback known.
While discussing Mike McCarthy’s debut as Steelers head coach on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons, Tomlin decided to take at Tua Tagovailoa.

“His last visit to Pittsburgh didn’t go well,” Tomlin said. “[The Dolphins] lost, he got benched, and so I think it’s gonna be a good day for Mike McCarthy, Patrick Graham and company.”
Tua’s time came to an end in Miami after that loss to the Steelers on primetime as he was benched for Quinn Ewers. So far, his time in Atlanta has not gone well as he seemingly won the quarterback competition against Michael Penix Jr. because Penix Jr.’s recovery from a torn ACL.
On Sunday, Tagovailoa has a chance to silence a lot of is doubters including Tomlin but if he preforms like he did the last time he faced Pittsburgh, it’s tenure in Atlanta could be cut shortly than a lot of people expected.
