NFL Transactions 2018 March 16th 2018 Update

As teams try to hold onto their own players, two to watch: The Redskins are in negotiations with OLB Junior Galette and the #Seahawks are in talks to bring back CB Byron Maxwell. Both of those talks are ongoing.

The silence on Eric Reid in free agency is deafening

Eric Reid may be right. But literally no safeties have signed. The entire safety market is in a standstill. So there are multiple factors at play here.

Former Raiders WR Michael Crabtree visits the #Ravens today and given their positional need (from the Ryan Grant situation) and their interest in before that, Baltimore would like to close the deal. If it doesn’t happen, Crabtree has other visits lined up.

The  Seahawks did not tender RB Mike Davis, and he’s looking around. Source said Davis is traveling to the #Lions today and has his visit tomorrow. Davis, who flashed against the Eagles and Jaguars, has other visits lined up.

Another RB the Seahawks did not tender: Thomas Rawls. He’s visiting the Chiefs today, source said. He’s looking to recapture what he had a rookie.

Free agent TE Ed Dickson stayed the night in Seattle, as his agents and the Seahawks made significant progress on a deal, source said. The hope is that it gets done.

Former Cowboys pass-rusher Benson Mayowa is visiting with the #Colts, source said, as he continues his free agrnt tour.

At a press conference, Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome describes Ryan Grant failing his physical as a “medical decision I had no control over."
