Kirk Jay The Voice Top 8 tonight; Kirk’s calling card is the weepy country ballad. And boy, does he know what buttons to push when it comes to moving an audience. He admits it! He loves to make people cry with vocals that can be emotional and gut wrenching. So far, the Voice audience can’t resist him. (Kirk could definitely win it all…)

I Swear by John Michael Montgomery (also R&B group All-4-One)  – Kirk has the pimp spot AGAIN. This boy is going to win the whole thing. “It’s not even about me no more,” says Kirk. Blake picked the song because it fits his style as a country balladeer with a pop sensibility. Kirk is dedicating the song to a girl named Courtney who battled cancer. His dad reached out to him after his blind audition. “I’m here because of people like Courtney. Kirk does his country ballad thing, like he always does. He’s super earnest and emotional. His voice sounds tired this week, he’s struggling a little on the high notes. But does it matter? Kirk is a crowd pleaser. Jennifer is his biggest fan. She’s going to miss watching him sing every week. She begs people to vote for him. She’s advocating for him more than her own singers. Adam calls his voice “identifiable.” Blake says, “I could not be more proud of you.” And then Carson cuts in, because we are running short of time!

This week’s song is the kind of song he wants to release. Blake feels the song really pushes him as a vocalist.

Taiah Decker We can let our voices be heard this week! Vote!!! A great injustice has been done as Reagan should not still be on the show. Don’t vote for her. You don’t vote for her, she gets put in the bottom two, you don’t vote for her during the instant save and she goes home. Granted justice is only being halfway served as I don’t see DeAndre getting to come back. Not much string pulling Adam can do then and in doing that America will effectively knock him out of the running for “The Voice” completely!

Wendy Broadwell Kirk is my favorite and i hope he wins the voice but please adress the issue with adam! he does not deserve his chair! Kirk you have an amazing voice! love Kirk Jay The Voice Top 8
