Action News Jax reports that the incident happened at Beach Blvd. and 3rd St.
No details have been released at this time about what prompted the shooting.
An officer was a shot and a second person was transported to the hospital. It's not known at this time if the second person is a victim or the suspect or if they sustained gunshot wounds.
The condition of the officer has not been released at this time.
