She posted on her facebook page:

"Tonight is the night that I ask you to vote me into the top 5 On American Idol!!! I feel I represent 2018 well. Growing up my dad taught me not to focus on anything negative and focus more on seeing the negative as a chance to grow. It wasn’t easy at first but now I understand. I have gotten thousands of messages over the past few weeks and I feel tonight when I step on that stage I’m bringing those people with me. I want to be your LIGHT in a dark place. Believe in yourself when all others don’t. To push past The pain of wanting to quit. And I Hope You Dance "

Spring Marie Rogers Wow, I'm so ashamed of America and all the negative things they have to say not just on Gabby's but every other contestants! Way to go Gabby! You did amazing as always! So much pressure these young ppl are under just trying to advance to the next round. How about words of encouragement?!

Trevor Williams Seeing her little sister in her package just made me further think she's super fake… Her sister doesn't have an accent when she talks. Her twang and country accent are so put on it's not even funny LMAO

McKayla Stahl Bower They showed a clip of her and her sister and I didn't hear a country twang. Though to be honest I don't hear my husbands twang either because I'm so use to it. Idk she isn't my favorite but she obviously sings way better then me so I have no room to judge.

Honestly, people who truly like Gabby don’t understand what true talent is. Also, she’s a complete fraud. She’s already had her “break” – she just wasn’t able to go all the way to the top because it takes time and takes work, so she decided to use Idol to skip the steps it takes to making it big.
1) she already had a record deal through an independent label before Idol (that breaks the rules for even being able to audition for the competition)
2) she has already released several CD’s
3) she has already been showcased on different radio stations around the country.
4) she has already been on tour through her independent label.
Along with that, everything she is, is fake. Her fake country twang goes right through me every time. They even called her out on it during her audition. They allowed her to have 3 chances during her audition to “get it right.” She’s the most selfish individual, she doesn’t support her other competitors at all. It’s all about Gabby. Also, anyone who has a background in music would know that her pitch is horrid. Whoever she has had as a vocal coach over the years needs to be fired. She is so nasally, and doesn’t sing from her diaphragm in the way you’re supposed to. If I see her nostrils flare one more time during her performances, I’m going to scream.

Jacob Ma'atu Joy I hope she wins. The only thing I'd say is she needs to open up her mouth more. I understand when you control the tonality in your voice you need to tighten your lips to resonate the sound but there are instances particularly in this song where she needed to open up to carry the notes. You're my American Idol. relly love Gabby Barrett  How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore
