Gabby Barrett Sings My Church by Maren Morris

Gabby Barrett American Idol Top 24

The Top 24 contestants will be split into two groups of twelve. Pre-taped performances of the first group will air on April 8 and the second group on April 15.

On the following day each week, pre-taped performances of each contestant's duet will air, as will the judges selection of seven contestants from each group to advance to the Top 14. Idol contestants will pair with celebrity singers as their duet partners.

The artists set to duet with the Top 24 include: Banners, Aloe Blacc, Bishop Briggs, Cam, Colbie Caillat, Luis Fonsi, Andy Grammer, Lea Michele, Patrick Monahan, Rachel Platten, Bebe Rexha, Sugarland, and Allen Stone

"Can we re-name this American IdolS? Because this is getting tough to boil it down to one person," Perry tweeted on April 2, while Richie tweeted "On stage you can take your character as far as you want out there but if you have the talent YOU alone are enough" on the same day.

Gabby has steadily improved since her audition, and she tells Bobby that her goal is Madison Square Garden in five years. He believes it's a great time to be a female in country music, and he hooks Gabby up with his friend Kelsea Ballerini to offer tips of the trade. Then it's on to "My Church" by Maren Morris.

I've never been a fan of the genre, but I have to admit that this girl is the total package. It's a bit nasally in the beginning, but she only gains strength and power before absolutely slaying it at the end — like, professional grade. Lionel's only criticism is to show her personality earlier instead of holding it until the end, and Katy also wants more revving in the middle. Luke lauds her shine, sparkle and "it" factor.

I'll be shocked if she's not in the Top 3, if she doesn't win the whole thing.

Josh Keith I was teamgabby before it was team Gabby. I was there before the idol and I’ll be there way after it! Go Gabby! Love you and your family and I’m so proud you got to do this! The day you said you would do this I knew you’d win it! And you will!.

Sirena Lopez I actually liked the constructive criticism they gave her! It was very on point to what I thought too!

Alan Parrish That's exactly it. I'm so glad to see these judges looking for the actual person instead of wanting a style! Perhaps the industry is changing a smidge?

Kyle Deitt Atta girl! PITTSBURGH IN THE HOUSE., Go Gabby Barrett

Cláudia Fegari I love all these 3 being judges on A.I. Far the BEST judges so far! They are personal, warming and funny! Super funny!
*Kary Perry at the end: "-I don't wanna my eyelashes to fall off!!! " hahah

Marsha Joan Morse Her dad don't have to work 4 jobs find one good paying 8 hour a day job. Shouldn't depend on your kids to make your living

Elizabeth Cash Voice, song, singing aside…I'm sorry, but your dad sacrificed everything for you and this is unique in some way, how??? I rather just hear the singing than a far fetched sob story!
