Chris Kroeze – Team Blake – Chris won’t break out of his box this week. But why should he? Covering classic songs with a side of impressive musicianship is working for him just fine. Maybe he’ll break out the Jesus card but then, probably everyone else will too.

Chris Kroeze Sings Can’t You See by The Marshall Tucker Band for his The Voice Top 8 live performance tonight

Can’t You See by The Marshall Tucker Band – Chris chose the song because it’s “awesome” and he grew up with it. Blake likes that Chris stays true to who he is, and brings the party to the room. He basically compliments him for being a bar band singer. “My experience on The Voice has convinced me that I’m a country southern rocker,” says Chris. Well, that’s good to know.  The Voice flew Chris’s family out to Los Angeles. That’s nice.  And this performance is also nice, but nothing special. Yep.

Chris does a great job covering old southern rock classics. I’ll bet he’s a big hit at those USO shows he plays. But he has yet to distinguish himself as an original artist.  Kelly calls him “nostalgic” She compares him to Travis Tritt and Guns N Roses. It makes her think about hanging out at the lake with her husband. Blake thanks him for giving the beer drinking back road driving fans of the show someone to root for. Are these compliments?

Blake took his team to the Pickwick Bowl for some bonding. Chis is a bad bowler. He plays this song back home on the bar circuit. People love it!

First performance? First song they slow danced to? First time being recognized? The Top 10 reveal their firsts.

Have You Ever Seen the Rain – Team Blake – This Creedence Clearwater Revival song is a classic. But like Michael, I don’t think picking a mid-tempo song is smart at such a crucial time. These contestants have to find a way to stand out in a crowded field, and they have to find it quick. Having said that–Chris puts his own spin on the song. So good for him.

Julie Denski Cardy Here is why what happened was just so awful!
1. It was a disservice to DeAndre who gave it his all and stood there expecting his coach to have his back – that young man held it together – on live tv – as he realized that this was not the case – I hope his coach watches the tape and sees the moment on DeAndre’s face when he realizes what is happening
2. It’s a disservice to Reagan Strange who is taking a lot of the misdirected anger – she may have gotten saved on her own merits but we will never know that, will we ? She has the talent – her coach should have had faith in that
3. It’s a disservice to The Voice itself – once a feel good , happy show – they must be working feverishly to try and make this public relations nightmare right – but it is forever tainted

Janice Chavers So when does The Voice intend to respond to the concerns expressed by viewers on social media? Silence is not golden. It is disrespectful in this case.

Alona Weingarten It’s like training for the Olympic all your life and braking a leg the day of the final run. You don’t get the gold medal.
You try again later. Or not.
You don’t get the gold trophy for participating.
You get it for winning. Not for whining. love
