The Los Angeles local is chasing his dreams. Brian had to overcome some medical issues to keep playing and he gave an electric performance!
Violinist – He’s dreamt of being a kid since he was a kid. Three years ago he was diagnosed with a neuropathy. His hands and toes are numb and painful. He can’t feel the strings when he plays. It’s all muscle memory. He doesn’t know how long he can play. He’s such a young guy. So sad. Brian is an energetic and very talented performer. The crowd is on their feet. He breaks down and cries at the reaction. Heidi runs on stage to give him a big hug. “I felt your music…you just have it,” she says. “You lit this whole entire stage up,” says Mel. “You have an incredible energy, determination,” says Simon. It’s his fav audition of the day. Howie calls him a lesson in how everyone should live their lives. – 4 yeses

He got a scholarship to the Berklee College of Music. He was living his dream, but then was hit with a terrible diagnosis. A nerve disease makes his hands numb. He can still play, but he doesn’t know for how long. His girlfriend has been incredibly supportive. He’s an extremely skilled player, but how exciting is this really? I’m kinda bored, to be honest. If he does advance, it’s the backstory that will propel him. Mel says she “loves a fighter.” Chris admires that he doesn’t allow his pain to define him. Heidi finds his playing “fresh.” Simon says he has “unbelievable personality.” Howie thinks he stepped it up, but reminds him that only 7 acts are advancing.
