Pink Defends Meghan Markle After the ‘Most Public Form of Bullying’ She’s Seen in a While

Pink is defending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Following criticism of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s private vacations, the 39-year-old singer took to Twitter to add her name to the list of celebrities who are speaking out in support of the couple.

A source recently told ET that the royals spent six days celebrating Meghan’s 38th birthday in Ibiza at a lavish private villa, arriving by private jet to steer clear of the paparazzi. Just last week, they boarded another private plane and headed to the south of France for a sun-soaked getaway.

“I’m happy to see people coming to the defense of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” Pink wrote. “The way people treat her is the most public form of bullying I have seen in a while. It’s out of control.”

“Let’s all be a bit kinder, huh? Let’s show our children that it’s cool to be kind,” added the mother of two, who has an 8-year-old daughter, Willow, and a 2-year-old son, Jameson, with husband Carey Hart.

Pink’s sweet tweet comes after Elton John and Ellen DeGeneres came to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s defense on Monday.

John, 72, was the first to speak out, revealing that he hosted the royal couple at his home and offered them the use of a private jet for a vacation with their 3-month-old son, Archie.

“I am deeply distressed by today’s distorted and malicious account in the press surrounding the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s private stay at my home in Nice last week,” he wrote in part. “Prince Harry’s mother Diana Princess of Wales was one of my dearest friends. I feel a profound sense of obligation to protect Harry and his family from the unnecessary press intrusion that contributed to Diana’s untimely death.”

“I highly respect and applaud both Harry and Meghan’s commitment to charity and I’m calling on the press to cease these relentless and untrue assassinations on their character that are spuriously crafted on an almost daily basis,” he added later in the thread.

As for DeGeneres, she recalled her experience meeting the couple as she shared her support for them.

“Portia and I met Prince Harry and Meghan in England to talk about their work on wildlife conservation,” the 61-year-old talk show host wrote. “They were the most down-to-earth, compassionate people. Imagine being attacked for everything you do, when all you’re trying to do is make the world better.”

When ET’s Nischelle Turner caught up with Michael and Catherine at the Screen Actors Guild Awards back in January, they gushed over each other.

“He is the kindest man I have ever met in my life,” Catherine said. “…He is my best friend.”

“We have the same birthday, few years apart,” Michael quipped in response, referring to their 25-year age difference. “The first time I ever met her I found out we had the same birthday and I told her, ‘I’m going to be the father of your children.'”

“I found out she played golf. I melted right there,”  he added. “She looked straight into my eyes, and that was it.”

Alyssa Milano Reveals She Had Two Abortions in 1993: ‘I Was Not Equipped to be a Mother’

Alyssa Milano is opening up about her decision to have two abortions.

On a recent episode of her podcast, Alyssa Milano: Sorry Not Sorry, the 46-year-old actress shared that more than 25 years ago she chose to have two abortions within a few months of each other. Milano’s abortion stories came amid the passage of stricter abortion laws across the country, something that she and other celebrities have previously spoken out about.

“In 1993, I had two abortions,” she revealed, before describing her relationship with her unidentified boyfriend at the time. “I was in love for the first time, in the breathless way you can only be in love when you are young. It was huge, overwhelming even. It filled every part of living. And it was a joyful and exciting and powerful time in my life.”

Though she was on birth control at the time of conception because she knew she “was not ready to be a parent,” Milano still became pregnant. Additionally at the time, Milano was on an acne medicine that, she said, was “so likely to cause birth defects,” something that ultimately became another factor in her decision to end her pregnancy.

“I still got pregnant. It was devastating. I was raised Catholic and was suddenly put in conflict with my faith. A faith I was coming to realize empowered only men to make every single decision about what was allowed and what was not allowed,” she said. “I had a career and a future and potential. And also, I suffered from sometimes crippling anxiety.”

“So I knew, I knew at that time, I was not equipped to be a mother,” Milano continued. “And so I chose to have an abortion. I chose. It was my choice. And it was absolutely the right choice for me. It was not an easy choice. It was not something I wanted, but it was something that I needed, like most health care is.”

After her abortion, Milano said that she continued to “enjoy a sexual relationship with the man I loved” because “sexually connecting with my partner gave me pleasure.”

“I refuse to allow any one else’s bulls**t morality to force me into a life of pre-marital celibacy. I refuse to live in the narrative that sexual pleasure is for men and that women exist to deliver that pleasure. My body gives me pleasure,” she said. “… Nobody will try and say that he was at fault for enjoying sex with me, but you can be damn sure that the men enacting these laws think less of me for deriving the same pleasure from him.”

“They tell you the pill is 99 percent effective at preventing pregnancies and yet, a few months later, I found out I was pregnant again,” she continued. “So I had done what I knew to do to prevent pregnancy and was still pregnant. So once again I made the right decision to end that pregnancy.”

More than two decades later and after welcoming two children — Elizabeth, 4, and Milo, 7 — with her husband, Dave Bugliari, Milano explained how her life would have been different if she had not had her abortions.

“I would not have my children, my beautiful, perfect, loving, kind and inquisitive children who have a mother who was so very, very ready for them. I would not have my career. I would not have the ability or platform I use to fight against oppression with all my heart,” she said. “I would never have met my amazing husband, David, whose steadfast and immeasurable love for me sustains me through these terrifying times. Fifteen years after that first love had fizzled, my life would be completely lacking all its great joys.”

“I would never have been free to be myself. And that’s what this fight is all about — freedom,” Milano added. “Freedom from oppression. Freedom for women to have the audacity to be equally sexual beings as men. Freedom for women to live the life they were meant to have, not just the life that is thrust upon them by a pregnancy that cannot exist in their life.”

Milano concluded her podcast episode by stating that her “reasons for having an abortion are real.”

“They surround me every day. The reasons of all the women who have had abortions are real. They are ours and they are none of your f**king business,” she said. “We told these none of your business stories not because we wanted to, we told them because our voice is just about the only thing that male-dominated government is leaving women for now. I for one will never stop using my voice. Sorry, not sorry.”

Heather Locklear Shares ‘Still Sober’ Photo After Being Ordered to Enroll in Residential Treatment Program

Heather Locklear is focusing on positivity.

The 57-year-old actress took to Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a pic that featured flowers, a photo of a dog, a painted drawing with the word “Mom” spelled out in black lettering and an inspirational message that read: “You’re still sober. Keep that sh** up.”

Locklear kept the caption short, simply writing, “So grateful.”

So grateful 🙏🏻

A post shared by Heather Locklear (@heatherlocklear) on Aug 20, 2019 at 6:53am PDT

The new post comes just four days after the actress pleaded no contest to eight misdemeanor offenses of battery and resisting officers, according to court records obtained by ET last week. The judge found her guilty and she was ordered to enroll in a residential treatment program as part of her sentence stemming from two incidents in 2018. She was originally ordered to serve 120 days in jail; however, that sentence has been stayed in lieu of Locklear entering a residential treatment program by Sept. 6, and staying for 30 days.

ET has reached out to Locklear’s attorney for comment. She was released on probation and the case was continued until Sept. 6.

The charges against Locklear stem from two separate incidents last year. In February 2018, Locklear was arrested after a domestic violence call was reported at her residence, and was charged with four counts of misdemeanor battery and one of obstructing an officer. Police alleged that Locklear became combative during the arrest and battered three deputies.

Later in the year, Locklear faced three new misdemeanor charges: battery against a police officer, battery against an EMT and obstructing a police officer stemming from an incident that occurred at her home on June 24, according to the Ventura County DA’s Office.

Following her arrest, the actress checked herself into a treatment facility in July, a source told ET at the time. Later that year, in early November, she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold after EMTs arrived at her home following some type of episode, and in May 2019, she was back in rehab.

“[Locklear is now in] an inpatient facility and her family desperately hopes she will finally get sober once and for all,” a source told ET at the time. “Heather is in a very dangerous place and her family and loved ones are once again scared for her life.” The actress’ daughter, Ava Sambora, was the one who transported her to the treatment facility in May.

The source added that Locklear “admits she has a problem but she refuses to work the steps beyond that.”

“She never seems to dedicate herself to the process and keeps going back to the same dangerous place,” the source said. “Her family just hopes she will make a change this time and dedicate herself to getting healthy for good.”

Mariah Carey Calls Herself a ‘Prude,’ Says She’s ‘Only Been with 5 People in My Life’

Mariah Carey is opening up like never before.

The 49-year-old iconic singer covers Cosmopolitan‘s August issue and dishes about her past relationships.

“I haven’t had that many, but there has been a variety pack,” she says of the men she’s dated. “I’ve only been with five people in my life, so I’m kind of a prude, honestly, compared to most others in the field.”

Carey — who’s currently dating her former backup dancer, 36-year-old Bryan Tanaka — was previously married to music exec Tommy Mottola from 1993 to 1998 and Nick Cannon from 2008 to 2016, who she shares 8-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.

“You might want to picture a child bride,” she says of her first marriage to Mottola, who is 20 years her senior. “There was a conscious effort to keep me as this all-American, whatever that means, girl. It was very controlled. There was no freedom for me as a human being. It was almost like being a prisoner.”

Mottola, according to Cosmo, has since called the relationship “wrong and inappropriate.”

In the feature, Carey also opens up about her career, telling the mag, “[People] have no idea what I went through as a child to even get to be an 18-year-old girl with a record deal. This was before you could just go on YouTube and sing.”

That’s not the only subtle shade she throws at the new type of pop stars.

“They don’t do $2 million videos anymore. Anybody can make a video now,” she says. “… A lot of artists say they write, but they don’t really write. No offense to anybody. That’s just what I’ve seen.”

“A lot of girls are just nude in front of everybody,” she adds. “No offense to them.”

Michelle Carter Doc: Director Reveals How Lea Michele Played a Part in the Texting Suicide Case (Exclusive)

Michelle Carter, who was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the case surrounding Conrad Roy’s 2014 suicide and is now serving a 15-month prison sentence, is the subject of filmmaker Erin Lee Carr’s latest documentary, I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter

The two-part series examines the 2017 precedent-setting criminal trial — popularly known as the “Texting Suicide Case” — of a teenage girl who was deemed responsible for sending texts that seemingly encouraged her boyfriend to kill himself. The case quickly became a national news sensation, which Carr attributes to the fact that Carter is pretty, privileged, and most notably, female. When there is a gender switch and the male is the victim and the girlfriend is the perpetrator, she says, it got a lot of people talking about it, sparking a huge debate around digital technology, social media and mental health.

And it was that intersection of technology and crime that piqued the interest of Carr and her producing partner, Andrew Rossi, whose two previous films together include Mommy Dead and Dearest and Thought Crimes. “When we found out that a young teen was indicted for involuntary manslaughter for texting her supposed boyfriend to kill himself, that felt absolutely like an HBO story,” Carr tells ET, explaining that they specifically look for cases that fall into a “very specific Venn diagram.”

Through various interviews with expert witnesses, friends, family and reporters who covered the trial at the time and unprecedented access to film the trial in real time, I Love You, Now Die explores the complicated relationship between these two teenagers that existed largely over thousands of text messages exchanged over two years while putting audiences inside the courtroom.

Replicating the experience of what it’s like to observe the trial in person, the film is broken up into two parts — “The Prosecution” and “The Defense” — so that Carr can show audiences what has been reported and “the narrative that was always put forth,” she says, and then subvert that by then showing what’s the other side of that story. The end result is a true-crime documentary that unfolds like “a psychological thriller,” she says. “This is about the psychological principles of Michelle Carter and Conrad Roy. What motivated [them]? Why did they do it?”

While heavily covered in the news at the time, I Love You, Now Die still delivers plenty of surprises, pulling together fascinating insight and shocking details about the relationship between Carter and Roy, and the actions that followed his suicide. For Carr, what she was most surprised to learn was that Carter was a lonely girl who sought validation from people. In the months after Roy’s suicide, Carter was showered with attention and “she’s talking about quote-unquote getting famous,” the director says, particularly when it comes to throwing a fundraising event in his honor. “That’s so misguided and so inappropriate.”

Another shocking revelation, first uncovered by Esquire writer Jesse Barron, is the fact that Carter would quote the show Glee as well as star Lea Michele’s interviews about her late boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, in text messages to Roy. It’s one of the earlier instances that Carter brings up death in their conversations and that she saw herself as Michele or the on-screen character, Rachel, in her relationship.

“Not only was she quoting sort of language from Glee the TV show, which a lot of young girls do, but she was quoting the real-life actress,” Carr says. “And to me, that was really important to put in because it really made you question, like, ‘What is Michelle Carter’s concept of reality?’ And, ‘Is she living in this reality?’”

Also playing into Carter’s reality were films like The Fault in Our Stars, about two teenage lovers dying of cancer, which she saw five days before Conrad’s death. After, she texted Conrad, “I literally can’t stop crying lol what’s up with you?” According to Barron, “it doesn’t seem implausible to me that there were other stories in Michelle’s mind that reminded her of what was happening at that moment. And I think the question is whether or not she was writing some story in her head or writing some movie that for some reason had to end with him dying.”

While Carr says that she did not reach out to Michele for comment, she did reveal that she asked Amanda Knox to participate in the documentary. Knox is famously known as the American college student found guilty and later exonerated of murdering her roommate while studying abroad in Italy. The case became tabloid fodder, blurring the lines between hard news and sensational storytelling and was later re-examined in the 2016 Netflix documentary Amanda Knox, which finally allowed her to tell her own story. “This is one of the only people that can understand, in a small way, Michelle Carter’s fight,” Carr says. While Knox wrote an op-ed about the case, saying that Carter “deserves sympathy and help,” she declined an interview for the film.

Additionally, Carter and her parents declined to participate in the film, the director says, largely because they were still in the middle of an ongoing legal battle, trying to appeal the involuntary manslaughter conviction. Following her 2017 conviction, her legal team immediately filed an appeal in the Massachusetts court. In February 2019, she lost her appeal and was taken into custody. As of Monday, July 8, Carter took her case to the U.S. Supreme Court by filing a petition that the conviction violated her First Amendment right.

With that said, Carter’s voice is still heard thanks to all the text messages that are featured in the film. “I know this is very convenient to say, but it’s almost like you didn’t need to have her voice because I don’t know what she would have said in the interview,” Carr says. “It’s like, ‘What does somebody say when they feel like they’re not being watched?’ And I think that’s what our film does.”

I Love You, Now Die: The Commonwealth v. Michelle Carter premieres on back-to-back nights from July 9 to July 10 on HBO.

Kourtney Kardashian Opens Up About the ‘Anxiety’ She Experienced Ahead of Turning 40

Kourtney Kardashian wasn’t feeling great ahead of her 40th birthday.

In a scene from the upcoming 17th season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, which was released by E!, Kourtney talked to her sister, Khloe Kardashian, about the anxiety she felt ahead of her milestone birthday, which she celebrated back in April.

“I do think that turning 40, like, it almost makes you analyze, like, where you’re at in your life… It’s just giving me anxiety,” she told Khloe.

Kourtney revealed that her lifestyle website, Poosh, was one of the things that makes her happy, but that it also has stressed her out.

“I just always wish that I had more time. But I feel like I want to cry,” she admitted through tears. “Just ’cause it, like, gives me anxiety and I don’t know why…. ’cause then I’m like, I have so much and I should just be so happy.”

“But you’re not happy?” Khloe asked, after offering her older sister a hug.

“I mean I am, but then sometimes I’m just, like, it makes you really, like, analyze just, like, where you’re at,” Kourtney responded. “And then I’m like sometimes I’m like, ‘What am I doing?'”

“I’m just living life. But then sometimes… I’ll just do stupid s**t to distract, like, really thinking about stuff that is maybe more important,” she continued. “I don’t know. But then half of me’s like, ‘Live your life! Have fun!'”

“And if that makes you happy, you know that’s completely OK for your life,” Khloe assured Kourtney. “What if you enjoy the life that you have right now? If you’re happy that’s all that should matter for any of us. But I really don’t think your soul is happy. I think you feel incomplete somewhere. You’re scared.”

Despite her uncertainty about turning 40, Kourtney spared no expense for her giant party in April! The reality star celebrated with her famous family, as well as celebs including Robin Thicke, Sia and Paris Hilton.

Inside the fancy bash, Kourtney was showered with love in the form of napkins featuring some of her best quotes, a cake recreating one of her most iconic pics and personalized tequila bottles.

The following day, Ryan penned a touching, lengthy tribute to her friend, which she shared alongside a slideshow of snapshots from their time together as friends and co-stars over the years.

“This ripped me up. I keep trying and I can’t make anything make sense,” Ryan wrote. “He was blameless, and relentlessly joyful; he was good. Through and through, Cam is good, in all ways and to all people. And the most alive.”

“It’s wrong. I am so confused and devastated and angry. But that isn’t very Cam. He’d cast any shade of sadness or darkness in colors of positivity; he couldn’t help himself but to always leave you smiling, or laughing, or dancing. So sincere, kid Truth. He was good,” she continued. “My heart is with his parents, Vic and Libby, full of grace, and his wonderful sister Maya. An unimaginable sorrow.”

“You’re alive in the legacy of love you built, and I will keep that light burning in me for the rest of my journey,” She concluded. “The world was robbed. We’re better for you.”

“I feel very sick to my stomach writing this, and i wish i could hug you,” she continued. “You had the most incredible mind, spirit, sense of humor, heart, and too much talent for your own good. you were an angel on earth and i can only imagine all the sensational things you would have done had this world given you more time.”

Additionally, the Thirst Project, a non-profit that works to provide clean drinking water to impoverished communities which worked closely with Boyce, posted a moving video on Monday featuring several interviews with friends and loved ones of the late actor from 2018, when he was given the organization’s Pioneering Award. Reynolds, Brar and Boyce’s parents are included in the touching compilation. They proudly discuss his selflessness and dedication to others.

Reynolds shares: “I remember asking him what he wanted for his birthday last year and he just wanted me to donate. That was all. … I’m so proud of you and the difference that you’re making in the world. I’m a better person for knowing you, so thank you.”

We just wanted to take the time out to say THANK YOU to everyone who has been messaging us over the last 24 hours sharing your memories, sending your condolences, and asking how you can help support Cameron’s goal to end the water crisis. First and foremost, we’d ask you to carry on Cameron’s legacy by being inspired by his character. Those who knew him best said that he always stayed true to himself and stood for what he believed in. Be strong in your convictions and speak up if you feel something is an injustice. He would’ve wanted all of us to have the courage to be a Pioneering Spirit. Thank you so much to everyone who has donated & given in Cameron’s memory over the last 24 hours. We are overwhelmed by the love in action that we’ve seen as you seek to honor our friend & brother. Cameron’s spirit lives on in your actions & we will do our best to share any more ideas we may have as it becomes available in the days & weeks to come.

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis Perform ‘La Vaca Lola’ in Adorable Kitchen Concert: Watch

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis are showing off their singing skills!

On Monday, Kutcher took to Instagram to post a hilarious video of him and his wife of four years singing a children’s song. In the cute black-and-white clip, 41-year-old Kutcher begins belting out “La Vaca Lola” before turning the camera to Kunis, 35, to capture her joining in on the singalong.

The casual video is adorable, with the pair hanging out in the kitchen and Kunis chowing down on a snack throughout their impromptu concert. Fans who listen closely will also be able to hear what sounds like a recorder in the background, perhaps a contribution from one of their children — Wyatt, 4, or Dimitri, 2.

“A Kutchers singalong #beatchildrenssong #lavacalola,” he captioned the clip.

Despite their valiant efforts, Zoe Saldana hilariously piped in with a friendly critique for the couple. “Hahahahahahahaha you guys can do better than that!!!!! Come on! Bring it on!” she commented on the clip.

This isn’t the first time the couple has delighted fans on Instagram! Their kitchen concert comes shortly after Kutcher and Kunis released another funny video where they mocked a tabloid cover that claimed they had split up.

“It’s over between us,” Kunis said in the clip while holding up the tabloid.

“It’s over between us? Oh my god, what are we going to do?” Kutcher, feigning concern, asked.

“I felt suffocated,” Kunis replied, referencing the sub-headline on the magazine’s cover.

“You felt suffocated by me?” Kutcher stammered. “I was just so overbearing, wasn’t I?”

“Also, I took the kids,” Kunis deadpanned, while pointing at another part of the cover with that claim. “And you had a very dark secret exposed.”

“Oh my gosh, what was the dark secret?” Kutcher asked. “It must have been really dark.”
