From left to right – Cora, Zoey, Cece. Marked with jagged spots, the Masai Giraffe, also known as the Kilimanjaro Giraffe, is the largest subspecies of giraffe. As the tallest animals in the world, giraffes have a clear view of their surroundings on the African savanna. With excellent eyesight, they often detect predators and threats from a greater distance than do other animals.

Patricia Schroeder Loheed We were just there on a fine sunny, warm November Saturday on that high porch looking in awe at eye level heads and furry horns of this beautiful giraffe clan. Not quite sure why I was so surprised that being at their eye level made one think and understand just how tall they were. Also, the profile of a 6 ft. High newborn giraffe was causing a lot of conversation amongst viewers, especially women who had had babies and internally thought about what it would mean to give birth to a six foot long baby!

Robin Henselin McReynolds I just LOVE learning about all these animals…Giraffes happen to one of my all time favorites, they are so graceful looking…Thanks for all you do!
